CASSANDRA GRAMOZI

Since qualifying with NLSSM – The School of Soft Tissue Therapy in 2008, I have seen first-hand the positive effects of Sports Massage in a variety of settings. Over the next couple of years, I had the opportunity to work in private clinics and numerous sporting events until eventually stepping into professional sport.

My interest in Pilates and movement began when I started at Saracens RFC in 2008 before moving to Wasps RFC in 2010 as the Senior Soft Tissue Therapist. I saw first-hand how soft tissue therapy, rehabilitation and equipment Pilates could change a professional athletes movement, giving them a strong base on which to build on. Pilates was a way of significantly reducing the athletes' pain, enabling them to move faster through their rehab.

After three seasons at Wasps, I moved into the world of Olympic Sports and spent the next four years working in the English Institute of Sport and the Intensive Rehabilitation Unit as part of a multidisciplinary team to offer high-quality medical care for elite athletes during various stages of rehabilitation.

I am currently working for the Football Association as a consultant Soft Tissue Therapist to the U21s Mens England Football team. Within this role, I use the fundamentals of Soft Tissue Therapy, Pilates and movement therapy to assist in injury prevention, rehabilitation and activation work.

I also work with Complete Pilates online offering one to one and class sessions.

I continue to lecture at NLSSM The School of Soft Tissue Therapy and see private clients at a North London Clinic.

I am a Gold member and sit on the board of directors of the Sports Massage Association.  I also sit on the board CNHC as Profession Specific Board (PSB) representing Sports Massage. I am fully insured by Balens Ltd.
